A HP PC AN-Uganda seeks to recruit competent dynamic and creative individuals to join her team of passionate child advocacy professionals in the following positions:
1 POSITION DESCRIPTION: PROGRAMME OFFICER, ARUA DISTRICT BRANCH OFFICE
Reports to: Programme Coordinator, Membership, Organizational Development & Capacity Building Duty Station: Arua District
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the overall leadership and management of ANPPCAN's Arua district branch office.
• Ensure proper flow of information between Branch Office and the National Secretariat.
Job requirement
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of a Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Project Planning and Management. Development Management of related field obtained from a recognized institution.
• Knowledge on Gender and children's rights programming.
• At least two years relevant experience in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating child protection, participation I empowerment and advocacy programs in a rural setting.
• Good working knowledge on and experience with Microsoft office applications ts a must.
• Experience in participatory approaches for community mobilization in a rural setting.
• Hands on experience in proposal writing, budgeting and budget management
• Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner as a learn leader
• Knowledge and skills in child protection and casework*, management
• Ability to engage meaningfully with policy makers and other actors at district level for effective child protection._
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to * maintain flexibility in working hours.
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi¬ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity,
• A clear understanding of the local government system.
• Must be fluent in Lugbara
• Age range of 25 - 35 years
