The African Network for the Prevention and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) Uganda Chapter is a national child focused organization working to protect and promote the rights of children in Uganda
A HP PC AN-Uganda seeks to recruit competent dynamic and creative individuals to join her team of passionate child advocacy professionals in the following positions:
1 POSITION DESCRIPTION: PROGRAMME OFFICER, ARUA DISTRICT BRANCH OFFICE
Reports to: Programme Coordinator, Membership, Organizational Development & Capacity Building Duty Station: Arua District

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall leadership and management of ANPPCAN's Arua district branch office.
Ensure proper flow of information between Branch Office and the National Secretariat.

Job requirement

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Project Planning and Management. Development Management of related field obtained from a recognized institution.
Knowledge on Gender and children's rights programming.
At least two years relevant experience in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating child protection, participation I empowerment and advocacy programs in a rural setting.
Good working knowledge on and experience with Microsoft office applications ts a must.
Experience in participatory approaches for community mobilization in a rural setting.
Hands on experience in proposal writing, budgeting and budget management
Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner as a learn leader
Knowledge and skills in child protection and casework*, management
Ability to engage meaningfully with policy makers and other actors at district level for effective child protection._
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to * maintain flexibility in working hours.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi¬ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity,
A clear understanding of the local government system.
Must be fluent in Lugbara
Age range of 25 - 35 years
